See you at our first lesson!
I am a qualified ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal School of Music) teacher. This means that I have the ability to register my students through the ABRSM for piano and theory exams and coach them with the ABRSM exam syllabus so they can pass the exam with ease. My students receive elite-level instruction whether they are just starting out or are concert-ready!
As a teacher, I don’t just offer “by the book” teaching.
My approach is to mentor my students and help them work through hardships and frustrations when learning a difficult piece, and I help them break through those challenging barriers. I teach the whole package of art by aiding their growth as musicians, and helping them develop and perfect their art and approach by giving them the tools to broaden their horizons so they can see multiple perspectives. During our first consultation, students will be asked what their goals are for learning piano. From then on, I will build a lesson plan for them according to their desired short and long-term goals.
Performance Opportunities / Show Case Opportunities
JYMA hosts recitals twice a year where students are given the opportunity to showcase their abilities, talents and skills in front of their families and other students. At the end of the performance, the students are given a JYMA certificate and a trophy to honor their achievement and success. The immediate feedback students receive at these live showcases are excellent confidence boosters! Click here for recitals videos and pictures.
